Studio Policies + Procedures
General Policies:
All classes and private sessions are 50 minutes and start on time. Please arrive punctually to get the most out of your session.
A 6-minute grace period is allowed for late arrivals; after this, doors will be locked. Please do not knock on doors or windows if you are late.
Private sessions: If running late, notify your instructor. However, the session still ends at the scheduled time.
Group classes: No entry after the grace period, as early class segments are crucial for warm-up and injury prevention.
Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled session. Your instructors need time to reset the room, use the restroom, and be fully prepared for you.
Liability waiver and physician’s approval (if necessary) must be completed on My Best Studio (MBS) before attending your first session.
Instructors always check in on your body at the start of class, but it is your responsibility to communicate any injuries, pain, or body concerns before class begins.
Instructors will assess whether modifications can be made or if an injury requires special support that may necessitate withholding you from class that day for safety reasons.
At Fringe Pilates, we are committed to offering thoughtful movement options during pregnancy while operating within the training, certifications, and capacity of our staff. Our prenatal policies reflect our internal limitations as a small studio, not assumptions about any client’s body, strength, or experience.
First Trimester (up to 13 weeks):
Pregnant clients in their first trimester may attend general group Pilates classes. Clients must notify the instructor prior to the start of class that they are pregnant.Second Trimester and Beyond (14 weeks+):
Beginning in the second trimester, Fringe Pilates’ group class offerings are limited by instructor certification and staffing. As a result, pregnant clients may only attend:Prenatal-specific group classes taught by a prenatal-certified instructor, or
Private sessions structured to support pregnancy and taught by a prenatal-certified instructor
Due to our staffing and certification structure, general group classes led by non–prenatal-certified instructors are not available to pregnant clients beyond the first trimester.
Medical Clearance:
Clearance from a healthcare provider may be requested in certain cases and to gauge return to post-natal practice.High-Risk or Advanced Pregnancies:
Given the additional care these circumstances may require, and the limits of our group programming, private sessions with a prenatal-certified instructor are required.Fringe Pilates does not require or permit instructors to teach outside of their training, certification, or professional scope. These policies apply regardless of a client’s prior Pilates experience or personal comfort level and are intended to ensure that services are delivered responsibly within our operational capacity.
